Spoiler
------------------------
After you've defeated the 8 robot masters for the second time and defeated Dr. Wily's three forms, you find a cage with Dr. Light in it. You are warned by Protoman that Dr. Light is a fake and was used to stage the events that lead to his criminal image. Ignoring the warning megaman goes to save "Dr. Light". The fake Dr. Light then explodes knocking megaman down, temporarily paralyzing him. Dr. Wily tells megaman that since he's rendered useless, he'll blow the hole place up. Dr. Wily then runs away and the building starts exploding. Megaman passes out while everything is being destroyed. While things are looking bad for the blue bomber, out comes protoman to save the day. After some quick words about saving him again they both teleport from the building and are safe. After this all is better, except Dr. Wily is never found.

Sounds / Graphics: If you're into the whole nostalgic thing, which i think most people are when they see this thing, then you're good as gold. If you're not, then good luck with that. Suck it up, because it is a good game. As for sound, great quality 8bit glory. Ippo Yamada really brings to the table with this addition to the megaman Library. A very good sound track.

Gameplay:
I'll talk about the best system to play it on. That's right, the Nintendo Wii. Which is making a steady comeback after the ever so unpopular E3 this year. Well you must be asking why? I mean the graphics, music, and gameplay are all the same. So what makes it better? Easy, The simple 1 and 2 button with Dpad control scheme. It's extremely nostolgic because it is the closest thing to the original NES controller to date, besides those filthy 3rd party wiimote attachments that resemble a NES controller.

anyway, enough with the ranting. The game runs great, I mean it's pretty close to the original NES ones, but the handling is so perfect, it's more of an upgrade to the NES versions then a copy. It runs very smooth, nothing choppy about it. It's perfect and still holds true to the originals.

The 8 robot masters. I've not said that or typed it in well weeks, but i'm sure some of you have not in years. Though most of them are easy as cake. There is one.. the one that brings shame to us all.. his name is plugman. a rebel demon without a soul. To list the 8 robot masters, you got Galaxyman, Tornadoman, Cementman(who has the grossest name to his weapon upgrade when you view it in the item menu), Plugman, Jewelman, Hornet Man, Magmaman, and Splash Woman(the rebel to the series authenticity, though some of you think this is great, i think it's kind of like okay...unnecessary, but alright). These 8 robots masters are cake, its their levels that destroy you. God those levels are hell. Fun but hell. It brings back so many memories.. most of them being me punching a pillow in its imaginary stomach. They're all pretty cool, my complaint is that their weaknesses really don't make sense..but that hasn't stopped capcom before. Another thing, they claim that these robots worked for human kind, but what the hell good is a spaceship that shoots blackholes, he should be the final boss(and unbeatable at that). Some of them are okay, like Cement man, and maybe plugman.. i guess. but these guys are pretty brutal to even have any use to man kind rather then to destroy them.

My only problem with the game is that the company claims it is more difficult then 1 and 2, when I can guarantee that it is not. Some of the glitches from the original are taken out. Not that I really want falling through platforms to come back. Just saying.. it's a bit easier. More of a nit pick then an actual effect to the gameplay itself.

Ah, I almost forgot, the challenge system. The challenges bring so much potential into the game. I mean you don't have to, but you know you're going to try and get most of if not all of the challenges completed. I mean, It's just a plain out awesome addition to the game. I know many people claim how good they are at megaman games, no matter which one in the series.

I have not read into anything on downloadble content, but i'm looking forward to it. :)

Final thoughts / Rating:
The game is great, it brings everything that you want to the original library, it is a must download. 10/10.

Defend Your Castle! (A Decripitone Review)

http://www.xgenstudios.com/defend-your-castle/screen1.jpg
Story:
The story is awesome, well because it doesn't have one, and if they'd try to make one, I'd be pissed off at the company.

Controls:
The controls for the game are pretty damned good, there isn't a miss, though occasionally you miss picking up and swinging around guys. Due to the vast amount of units hurling themselves at you. Well basically there really isn't any controls.. I'll tell you all about it in the gameplay section of my review.
http://www.xgenstudios.com/defend-your-castle/screen9.jpg
Sounds / Graphics:
The graphics.. well the graphics are well.. not good. The sounds are actually a person who is making sounds. which in all honesty is quite bad. Everything looks a bit flashy.(meaning made in flash) but don't think i'm some sort of moron yet, i was just about to back it up saying," well most likely because it actually originated on flash. It seems like for the music they spent most of their budget on the menu music, which they could of easily re-used during the actually game. Their is no music during gameplay, absolutely no music.
http://www.xgenstudios.com/defend-your-castle/screen5.jpg
Gameplay:
Well the game play, here we go. You start a new game. It starts you off in a vast field emptier then anything you can imagine. So you're playing and it seems that nothing is going on, Then this lonely little guy is running at your castle. (what do i do?) well of course, pick him up really high and drop him on the floor! Its kills them as soon as they hit the floor. (Did i do a bad thing?) No, because as the title imply s, you need to defend your castle at any cost. anyway.. the round ends when the sun goes down. You go to a buying menu and you have the option to fortify your walls(add health) another fortify option, which costs more then the other option but add x times the amount of health the original fortify wall gives you. You also have the option to heal, or heal all. (these are priced, currency is given by the amount of points you get in a match, which are basically the amount of people you kill) There is also upgrades, an archer tower, builders, mages, and what I like to call unibombers(because they appear usually singular and explode). There is also the pit of conversion, which in all honesty you have to get first, because without it you can't add people to your archer, mage, unibomber, and builder towers, rendering them useless because the pit of conversion is used to convert soldiers who are trying to destroy your castle to units of your own. Mages are used for casting spells. (they don't do this automatically, you get the option by pressing the down button on your directional pad.) as you add more units from the pit of conversion you unlock more skills to use during each level. The amount of people you add to the mage tower also decreases the amount of time it takes for a spell to cool down. Archer towers is pretty much just a tower with archers in it. the more you put into the archer tower, the faster they shoot and the more they kill. Builders are used for repairing your building (healing your health bar slowly from any damage taken during the level.) Unibombers are made specifically for exploding and wiping out a mass quantity of enemy units. The more you add into that section is pretty much just the more unibombers you add to the field, note if you explode one you explode them all due to a chained explosion. So it's most wise to just add one when the time is necessary. As you progress through the levels, the game gets more difficult, almost to the point of impossible or to the point of the need of 3 other players. I almost forgot. When you play multiplayer. The person who scores the most points, get appointed king for the next round. The king controls the which units go into which tower, and the king gets to use the spells givin to them by the mages.

Final thoughts / Rating:
Well the game is definitely unique, but I feel the game isn't meant to be on a console, sure the game can be addicting when you have 3 people over that are willing to play it with you. After awhile of playing it gets boring like most flash games. Though only 5 bucks, I feel like it could have been put towards a better game like the legend of zelda, kirby's adventure, or any other game that costs 500 wii points. The game isn't all that bad, but i mean. If you feel like zoning out for hours with your friends killing stick figures, by all means download the game and make it happen. I feel this game could of had a little more potential, maybe something to make it a tone better then the flash version. (which is free btw.) I really don't know what to rate it, because i do find the game a bit fun. I really don't know how long that will last though. So I'm giving this game a 6.0. The game isn't bad, but it isn't good. The only thing that puts it over a 5 is that it has a pretty good multiplayer and the fact that when someone starts up a wiimote they're automatically in the game ready for stick figure killing action. so again 6.0.

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles Review + Bonus Review Contra 4 for the DS!

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles ReviewBy Decripitone

Story
The story to Umbrella chronicles starts off from Resident Evil Zero. Which talks about how the T-Virus comes into being. From then on it leads into the future series. The story is great, it's pretty much just a rush from resident evil 0,1, and so on, but it also has unlockable back story for characters you wouldn't expect they would write a backstory for. In the end the story is a bit rushed, but yet again, it's a rail shooter, you want the story to get to the point, the point of your cross hair... The story is well put together for it being rushed through the way a rail shooter would. I like it.

Controls
The controls.. wow the controls. If there are any programmers out there making a rail shooter for the Wii. This is the game that you want reference for your controls. Everything is beautiful, shaking the Wiimote to reload makes moments in the game all that more exciting. Throwing grenades, even cutting with your knife, just give you an over all great and fun experience. Me and a friend of mine were playing for hours, we were just killing zombie after zombie, hunter after hunter, bat after bat. the thing is the controls are so smooth and understanding of what you want to do. I can't help by saying I love the controls. Only one thing I've not done yet, and that's play with the Wii Zapper. I'm sure it's also a great experience. but if you want the awesome gameplay of a rail shooter but with the controls of a console. Then it's exactly what you were dreaming about. It's perfect.

Sounds / Graphics
Sounds of the games are very well recorded, if you were add this game to some surround sound speakers, then you have yourself a zombie in your front room or bedroom or where ever you game. Anyway the sound is great, you feel like you're in there blastin' zombies, and that's what it's all about.

Graphics of the game are decent. you still gotta love blowing up zombie heads as they scramble towards you. At times the graphics shine, like when you see a lit flame on some candles or just the textures in the terrain. minus a few cars, but that's alright. You still get a good experience, who cares if it doesn't look like house of the dead 4. It's not house of the dead, it's ****ing RE baby, RE...

Gameplay
This is where the game shines, even though it's a rail shooter you still feel like you're in the game. Like when you're bombarded by bats, or slimy things, or when you're attacked by a meat craving zombies. The game play is just straight awesome. It gets very exciting at times when you're slashing away at weaker things but at the same time blasting away at the much more beefy enemy behind the weaker enemies. The game play is just a roller coaster ride of pure excitement everything pops out at the right time to scare the crap out of you. I'm sure you'll get used to it after playing it through a couple times with your buddies. This game is definitely going to be played years to come even if you've played it 20 times through or more. It's a great experience, and i think you should all give it a try. rent it buy it whatever you need to do to get your fill in on the game. Grab a buddy and sit down. Experience the gameplay, experience zombie blasting.

Final thoughts / Rating
After a very long while of playing this game, I've come to the conclusion that Wii is looking a lot better on the market. at first i was scared, because the lack of online and the lack of good 3rd party games, but this game brought something new into my life, something great. Zombie Killing, Evil Monkey killing, and such other things that I really don't want spoiling the game for you. The monkey was kinda far. I love every aspect to this game. Even if at times you just want the main characters to shut up and do their job, or question why they're talking so casually when rabid dogs are trying to maul their faces off, who knows. I just know that blowing up, shooting up, blowing up, and cutting up enemies makes up for that completely. I can say that I give this game a....!!!!! 9.5 out of 100 er i mean 10.

Contra 4 ReviewBy Decripitone

Story
The story to contra.. the story to contra... hmm whats to say. it's a run and gun game. so the story is a bit i dunno not good. You have your hand full of hard asses, and a whole alien empire invading earth.. again. there you have it. the story.

I know it's not a Contra 4 clip. it's just funny.

Controls
hmm the controls got me bad. i'm used to the whole B to shoot A to jump. Well in this game they have Y to shoot, B to jump, A to toss a weapon you don't want. which is strange. Nobody wants to get rid of their weapons. Finally X to use your grappling hook. This is a good thing, you get to fly across both screens of your DS like you hadn't before, it's a fun little extra they added, i love it. over all the controls take a bit to get used to if you're an old time Contra gamer like myself. They don't have an option to change them, maybe I'm not looking hard enough. You give it a try. Besides that after the whole controller relearning system. you can get back to the run and gunning glory that Contra truly is.

Sounds / Graphics
The sounds to the game are some of the most beautiful sounds a DS can produce, like when you beat the stage you get a updated guitar riff version of the original level passed song, it's freakin' awesome. Also the lvls are quite intense, the added music just puts you into the contra killing spree mood. lets see how long we can live!

wow the graphics for this game are amazing. it's the whole side scrolling pixle deal, which is some of the best i've seen. then it does this whole 3D transition, i think they could of done a little better on that, maybe a bit more to the 3d textures. but besides that, the games graphics are just plain out awesome. you'd think you were playing a totally different game. but no. you're playing a brand spanking new contra. and you gotta love it.

Gameplay
okay let me tell you about this game play now. It's amazing I love it. It's as hard as ever, which i'm a fan of with the contra games. anyway, it's a difficult task to get anywhere into any contras, but if you have, then this game will fit your fancy. I've said it 3 times now, the game is a a run and gun. Just blast your way through and don't leave any of them alive. kill them all or you're next. ...if you don't dodge correctly. There is one thing that kills me about the game. for multiplayer, you gotta have 2 Contra 4 DS cartridges. I was saddened that it couldn't be played over download play. but that's alright, i'm sure the game would be extremely shortened with it. i'm actually going out to get a second copy with my bro so we can kill this game. I love the game play it's damn beautiful. If you're going to rent this, don't. Just buy it and make sure you have a dedicated Contra partner.

Final thoughts / Rating
The game is very fun, the story is a bit crappy, but it's a contra game. I didn't expect much, but I dunno it seems like they didn't even try to hide the fact that there is no story behind it. anyway the graphics are damn good I love em'. The game play keeps me going back to the game all day. I'm actually playing it as I write this review. everything is fun it really has you sit down and concentrate on being faster then the enemy themselves. I love that and I am a happy person. This game is a perfect sequel to the ever growing contra saga. Lets just hope Konami doesn't have us buy games that bare the contra name in it, but totally suck ...again. I rate this gaameeee!!!!! 8.5 out of 10

This concludes my Shoot em' up good reviews!
