Dr. Wily claims that he has the answer to the cause of the wild robots. He then shows a video of him and Dr. Light talking to each other. Sounds / Graphics: If you're into the whole nostalgic thing, which i think most people are when they see this thing, then you're good as gold. If you're not, then good luck with that. Suck it up, because it is a good game. As for sound, great quality 8bit glory. Ippo Yamada really brings to the table with this addition to the megaman Library. A very good sound track. After you've defeated the 8 robot masters for the second time and defeated Dr. Wily's three forms, you find a cage with Dr. Light in it. You are warned by Protoman that Dr. Light is a fake and was used to stage the events that lead to his criminal image. Ignoring the warning megaman goes to save "Dr. Light". The fake Dr. Light then explodes knocking megaman down, temporarily paralyzing him. Dr. Wily tells megaman that since he's rendered useless, he'll blow the hole place up. Dr. Wily then runs away and the building starts exploding. Megaman passes out while everything is being destroyed. While things are looking bad for the blue bomber, out comes protoman to save the day. After some quick words about saving him again they both teleport from the building and are safe. After this all is better, except Dr. Wily is never found.
Gameplay:
I'll talk about the best system to play it on. That's right, the Nintendo Wii. Which is making a steady comeback after the ever so unpopular E3 this year. Well you must be asking why? I mean the graphics, music, and gameplay are all the same. So what makes it better? Easy, The simple 1 and 2 button with Dpad control scheme. It's extremely nostolgic because it is the closest thing to the original NES controller to date, besides those filthy 3rd party wiimote attachments that resemble a NES controller.
anyway, enough with the ranting. The game runs great, I mean it's pretty close to the original NES ones, but the handling is so perfect, it's more of an upgrade to the NES versions then a copy. It runs very smooth, nothing choppy about it. It's perfect and still holds true to the originals.
My only problem with the game is that the company claims it is more difficult then 1 and 2, when I can guarantee that it is not. Some of the glitches from the original are taken out. Not that I really want falling through platforms to come back. Just saying.. it's a bit easier. More of a nit pick then an actual effect to the gameplay itself.
Ah, I almost forgot, the challenge system. The challenges bring so much potential into the game. I mean you don't have to, but you know you're going to try and get most of if not all of the challenges completed. I mean, It's just a plain out awesome addition to the game. I know many people claim how good they are at megaman games, no matter which one in the series.
I have not read into anything on downloadble content, but i'm looking forward to it. :)
Final thoughts / Rating:
The game is great, it brings everything that you want to the original library, it is a must download. 10/10.
